Fertility and mindset work go hand in hand. It’s a common pillar in most fertility-boosting protocols, and a buzzword on social media platforms everywhere. We have whole blog posts dedicated to mindset and self-care for fertility here and here.
More than that though, it’s important to focus on the power of our subconscious mind and its impact on our mental and physical wellness. Without even realizing it, we may be caught in a system of self sabotage brought on by years of unhealthy habits, thoughts, and behaviors. Psych-K is the practice of transforming your subconscious and limiting beliefs, and it’s a powerful tool on a fertility journey. While journaling, meditation, and self-care are all important practices, Psych-K dives deeper into your subconscious beliefs, and the habits that come from them. While true Psych-K work must be done with a trained facilitator (like me!), there are some techniques you can begin to implement at home. A belief (or goal) statement is a positive affirmation or statement that is used to replace a limiting or negative belief held in the subconscious mind. They’re in the first person, present tense, and always stated in the positive.
Working through belief statements is best done with a facilitator, but you can begin to get in touch with your subconscious mind by using these affirmations as a guide.
5 Belief Statements to Use on a Fertility Journey 1. I am safe, supported, and loved. 2. I deeply love and accept myself. 3. My body is strong and capable. 4. I am worthy and welcome an abundant future. 5. My womb is open to new life. You can repeat these affirmations as a daily journaling practice, and as mantras throughout the day. I like to set alarms on my phone to remind me to revisit my affirmations as a part of my daily routine.
