The Elizabeth King kitchen continues to produce an exciting range of appetising dishes. Our food counter has a varied range, which includes Scotch eggs, fish cakes, tray bakes, salads and vegetable accompaniments. Those with a sweet tooth can pick out a bread and butter pudding laden with fruit and vanilla, banana and walnut bread or beautifully decorated cup cakes. Our menus change according to the seasons and market availability, but we do ensure that old favourites are always on the list. You can now buy a bigger selection of our home-made foods, packed up and ready to pop in your basket. We have a range of seasonal soups, such as beetroot and crème fraiche plus a selection of flavoursome sauces and stocks, including a rich beef ragout cooked in red wine. We have a range of ready-to-bake dishes in our elegant wooden ‘painibois’ boxes. Favourites include a traditional lasagna for two, cottage pie and herb crumb topped cauliflower cheese. Salads such as mixed bean with tuna, free-range egg and olives or pesto tossed pasta with pinenuts and shaved Parmesan add a lighter touch to our range. Desserts are also available and include Tiramisu laced with Amaretto and a Banoffi pie that is to die for!
